DARPA-sponsored test activity complete; results and implications pending

On Wednesday, 19 January 2005, the initial DARPA-sponsored test of an Innodyn fuel control system component was completed at the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Paxtuxent River, MD. The test was accomplished with no significant complications and NAVAIR test personnel are currently reviewing the considerable amount of data.

Due to the complexity of the test set, sensors, and volume of data, at this time we are unable to draw conclusions that can equate to Innodyn’s production turbine, other than the test procedures were performed without flaw. It is expected that results of the test will be available soon and preliminary analysis provided within one week to ten days. This test was strictly focused on the Innodyn fuel control system and we will be attempting to equate results to performance of our turbine engine. However, at this time we continue to expect direct equations between this test and the performance of the complete production Innodyn turbine to be general in nature.

During this test and review meetings, discussions were held to investigate additional test activities that would include a focused fuel and power test of our production engine. At the present time, we are assessing the test program and in-house data in efforts to provide meaningful information on the fuel control system as soon as possible.

We appreciate the great interest in performance data and will be working to post valid, credible and meaningful test data at the earliest opportunity. Thank you for your continued interest and patience as we complete the initial step in what will be an ongoing effort to test, evaluate and improve the Innodyn turbine engine and the patented fuel control system that drives it.
