Turbine Delivery Scheduled in July for UAV Program
We have recently concluded an agreement with a major university for delivery of one of our turbines in early July which is planned to be used as the power plant for an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) program. The program is being funded by the US National Science Foundation and is focused on environmental sensing over the Antarctic. To prepare for the flight program, our turbine will first be ground tested by the lead university and will then be ground tested in the Antarctic. If all testing proves satisfactory, flight tests and operational flights are scheduled to begin in 2007.
